THE POSITION
Plan, direct, and coordinate the Receiving Operations within Internal Materials Control Department.
Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving of raw materials.
Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
Review deliveries (advance shipping notices), and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods to issue work assignments.
Interview, select, coach, mentor, and train Receiving personnel.
Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals/standard work.
Respond to internal customer’s questions and complaints regarding receiving errors/defects and 8D responses.
Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment (material handling equipment), maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
Develop and document standard work and emergency operating procedures for receiving (put away), handling and storing (quality), all internal customer products or materials.
Arrange storage facilities when required to support future growth and or reduction.
Understand inventory management principals.
Serve as the “champion" for all Lean and 5S activities, work with the leadership teams across plant-wide to train, communicate, standardize, sustain and facilitate the implementation of Lean manufacturing.
Define and lead Kaizen events and follow-up to ensure proper progress and the continuity of the lean efforts toward the optimization and removal of waste. ·
Drive change daily by creating channels for feedback and effectively using company-wide systems of communication to ensure employees are stakeholders and have a voice in the workplace.
Understand Value Stream Mapping and optimization of a logistical operation.
Responsibilities include 24 hours / 7 days a week Logistical operation.
Supervisor is expected to coach/mentor all shifts, and actively participate with night shift teams.
Conduct all activities and behave in a method that is strictly consistent with the Plant Principals and Key Beliefs
Responsible for managing and maintaining a good work environment and safety standards within the shipping department.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Equivalent
- Familiar with warehouse operations, cycle counting, Inventory management
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to Push, Pull Reach, Twist, Turn, and Stoop.

- Knowledgeable in SAP System
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Forklift operating experience
- Outstanding Communication skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and word)
