The Opportunity:  

As the HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for supporting human resources responsibilities for our Customer Experience business functions that span across Dallas, TX and Chicago, IL as well as support general People Team needs at Vivid Seats. You’ll provide high touch HR service to our quickly growing Customer Experience department directly supporting employees and first line managers of the business. As our Dallas, TX location is being built for growth, you will be a key player in understanding talent needs and act as a trusted partner to our Customer Experience managers to make recommendations that improve performance, retention, engagement, and the overall employee experience.

How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:

  • Provide HR support for our quickly growing Customer Experience departments including employee relations, performance management, leave of absences, and HR policies and programs.
  • Manage onboarding program for all Dallas location new hires.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues of employee concern or conflict in an appropriate and timely manner with support from HR leadership.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Be a trusted resource for employees and first line managers on all HR related matters.
  • Support talent review cycles including calibration sessions and compensation recommendations in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Assist with management and coordination of separation process.
  • Support larger HR initiatives including performance management, employee recognition, and employee development.
  • Partner with internal People Team departments on talent development and staffing strategy.

How your role expectations will progress as a HR Generalist in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

30 days in

  • Acclimate to Vivid Seats’ values and organizational goals to understand how your department drives initiatives forward.
  • Understand your role contributions and the needs of your stakeholders that rely on your deliverables to bring business objectives to life.
  • Learn current HR practices, policies, and active projects that support Customer Experience departments and the People Team.
  • Get to know your business leaders and begin to understand their talent/priorities.

90 days in

  • Develop and lead initiatives for your team that enhance process, drive innovation, and build on Vivid Seats values.
  • Be knowledgeable in HR practices and policies to support employee and manager needs that arise.
  • Identify immediate needs within dedicated business functions, acting swiftly and confidentially to support them with partnership from HR leadership.
  • Assist in supporting hiring efforts to help Customer Experience departments scale to staffing targets.

180 days in 

  • Monitor and evolve team deliverables, goals, and overall performance to ensure alignment with broader initiatives of your department and the organization.
  • Identify employee trends, analyze data, and propose areas for improvement within the Operations employee group.
  • Act as first point of contact for employees and first line management.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives for Customer Experience departments and the greater People Team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a HRBP position with a deep understanding of employee relations and performance management processes.
  • Passion for people, culture, process improvement, and providing high touch experiences.
  • Intrinsically curious with a knack for solving problems of differing degrees of difficulty.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization ability and great communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources related field or equivalent experience.
