We’re looking for an experienced associate design director to help lead multidisciplinary teams. S/he will use creative communication to tell enriching interactive stories within the digital environment and design thinking to solve problems ranging from experience design to new business models. Associate design directors help formulate and lead the design vision for projects and guide concepts from strategic design and through highly crafted implementation. S/he will also help lead teams and regularly present work to clients.
Responsibilities
- Helps set the design and experience vision for clients
- Presents work with confidence and compelling narratives
- Leads the design of communication experience as well as systems, products, services, and interfaces
- Helps lead concept generation
- Oversees and delivers assets and productions of the highest quality (including development oversight as well as video, photography and Illustration production)
- Conducts design research
- Leads design and communication teams
- Helps lead integration of multidisciplinary team
- Helps manage client relationships
- Tracks multiple projects
- Tracks design trends and technology

Required Skills & Experience
- Design leadership experience
- Design thinking skills and experience
- Advanced communication and collaboration skills
- Advanced presentation skills and experience
- Advanced UX/UI, service design, or similar skills and experience, with emphasis on visual design
- Advanced understanding of marketing, advertising, and technology
- Mastery of design software and associated workflows
- 5 years with design firm, agency, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s in Design or equivalent work experience preferred
