Government Program Management SME

ABOUT THE POSITION

VMSI is seeking a Government Program Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide professional support and business aid to the customer in a remote capacity. This position will be predominantly remote with the need to be on site in Frederick, MD as needed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct research to support courseware development on program management topics
  • Using a government audit form, document the technical accuracy of material presented in both in-person and distance-learning courses and evaluate each instructor’s understanding of course material
  • Submit course audit reports to the COR on time
  • Identify elements of training materials and/or instructor delivery that require correction/supplementation and provide proper corrective actions to those elements
  • Attend instructional design internal pilots and dry runs; supply feedback to ID team and/or suggest improvement based on subject matter expertise in government program management
  • Research and author synchronous and asynchronous materials for the instructional design team by employing program management subject matter expertise on foundational and competency-based training
  • Deliver presentations and instruction using software in an adult learning environment
  • Provide government leadership with highly technical guidance and analysis services
  • Manage, coordinate, and pursue multiple complex projects and activities

Required:

· 10 years’ experience; has served as a Program Manager on multiple types of federal acquisitions at the GS-14 and above level, or in the private sector equivalent

· 5 years’ VA experience preferred

· Desired experience instructing courses, formal trainings, workshops, and seminars

· Demonstrated strong experience as a PM, leading projects to completion on time and within budget

· Advanced performance in consulting and analysis skills

· Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to travel to other VA locations to instruct professional development courses (approximately 30 days per year)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • FAC-P/PM Level III Certification or Industry equivalent

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
