The VMware Dell Synergy Acceleration Team seeks a highly motivated, results-oriented, technical leaning program manager.  If you’ve been recognized as a high performing individual contributor that has a history of developing or significantly influencing programs, and you’re looking to grow as a global cross functional, strategic programs leader, and if you are passionate about facilitating change in a dynamic business environment, you should consider this role on the Dell Synergy Acceleration team.  

General Job Description

This is a highly strategic function between VMware and Dell. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for developing go-to-market programs globally and facilitating their desired outcome.  You’ll employ your unique blend of evolving program execution, ability to collaborate effectively across highly matrixed organizations, and innovative thinking to develop new programs and opportunities to grow the business.  You’ll predominately facilitate activation of Dell’s technical communities but will be mindful of Sales demands and secondarily assist with Sales lead programs.  Driving towards Dell’s advanced competency of the prioritized Dell VMware joint solutions (Multi-cloud, Cloud Native Application Modernization, and Security SASE) will always be your underwriting theme.

The position requires a self-starter with project management skills, innovative thinking, strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to understand the technical sales process, proven capability to document and solicit requirements from various stakeholders, feedback and commitment to lead high impact projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively leverage relationship building, stakeholder management, and influencing skills to become a trusted partner to cross functional leaders in Pre-Sales, Sales, Strategy and Planning, Marketing and Operations
  • Demonstrate your ability to lead without authority across all global regions.
  • Help the Dell Synergy Team and its stakeholders to define and plan prioritized program outcomes, measured goals and iterative “get started” plans that create and build momentum
  • You’ll partner in developing and delivering activation programs, inclusive of Dell, VMware, customer, and partner facing activities, and build metrics-based dashboards to illustrate impact and value to the business.
  • Develop and maintain an effective communications cadence with cross-company stakeholders
  • Proactively identify each programs’ risks, issues and drive their resolution
  • Report on your programs to cross functional stakeholders. Be the trusted speaker on the state of your programs in key checkpoint reviews.
  • Convey complex ideas in a logical sequence that others can understand.
  • Facilitate planning and coordination efforts with Dell Synergy teams to support their schedules and planning, tracking, and communicating program delivery expectations with potential and existing stakeholders
  • Post-Pandemic willingness to travel as needed, globally.
  • Availability for meetings across all time zones

This role would be well suited to an individual with the following desired skills and experience:

  • 12 years of work experience that includes program management and time in a pre-sales (technical), sales, or directly sales-facing organization such as Field Marketing or Sales Strategy
  • Working knowledge of the combined VMware and Dell solutions portfolio and competitive landscape, high level of comfort with emerging technologies
  • Ability to build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at Dell and VMware
  • Exceptional listening, oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Consistently delivers excellent results, even in the face of changing environment.
  • Regarded as a strong performer and collaborator, strong attention to detail and solid leadership skills.
  • Self-directed, innovative professional with a demonstrated ability to make recommendations that balance strategic vision with operational execution/sustainability
