- Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Status: Full-time
- Wage: $16.75 per hour
- Bonus: $1,000 Hiring Bonus
You will work in our day program to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental as well as physical disabilities in a day program. You will complete comprehensive assessments, individual support plans and daily service plan follow up as well as implement consumer treatment plan to enable maximum independence, involvement, and success in the community. You will also help consumers gain knowledge and confidence in interpersonal relationships and daily living skills.
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive assessments and support plans
- Implement treatment plans
- Work with adults who have various types of intellectual and developmental as well as physical disabilities
- Promote positive social interactions
- Support and enrich the lives of individuals
- Support personal goals
- Assist individuals to gain knowledge and confidence in life skills
- Teach skills to expand a person’s independence
- Reinforce therapies, including speech, behavioral support and physical therapy
- Administer medications
- Support individuals with hygiene
- Ensure all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choice
- Complete and maintain required documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year experience performing similar functions in a similar organization
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Go through State and Federal Background Checks
- A satisfactory driving record with no more than three moving violations in the most recent thirty-six month period
- A valid driver’s license
- Pass Nurse Exam
