Summary –
The Sales Manager position will be within the Fabric & Roll Systems (FRS) team and the candidate will be responsible for the Sales management within Southeast United States. The region has customers in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. The candidate will sell and service our Fabric and Roll products as well as other exciting Voith products. This candidate will enter a well-established territory and interface with several key customers. Experience in paper machine fabrics, rolls and/or papermaking would be preferable. Daily workload includes a variety of tasks and customers, and this variety makes for an exciting opportunity with a good degree of flexibility.
Responsibilities –
- This position must play a lead role in growing FRS business in this Southeast region. The responsibilities include presenting benefits to the customer, assisting Key Account Managers (KAMs) with building request for quotes (RFQs), leading the implementation, and participate in annual reviews.
- Promote new FRS products to the customer. This includes promoting the new product to the customer and sales presentations.
- Drives to create collaborative relationships with customers so they see Voith as a partner not a supplier.
- Machine troubleshooting – customers will often ask for support with product troubleshooting or general troubleshooting.
- Travel to and from Customer sites.
Qualifications –
- At least 5 – 10 years of papermaking related experience
- At least 5 years paper mill mechanical related experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in paper science, engineering, operations management an asset
- Lean/6-sigma training an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
