PURCHASER TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compare and analyze materials and components on cost, quality, and specifications between vendors and manufacturers to obtain best value.
- Purchase, manage and monitor inventory and bulk material purchases.
- Make recommendations on inventory process, bulk purchases and price catalog adjustments.
- Purchase, manage and monitor office supplies and office equipment.
- Maintain and update company pricing programs and price catalogs to accurately reflect vendor price changes.
- Make recommendations on the use of alternate materials or vendors.
- Compare vehicle and equipment purchase costs to obtain best value.
- Maintain vendor contact list and account info.
- Assist estimator with the bidding process for certain projects with regard to material and contractors.
- Manually approve and manage mismatched purchase orders and invoices within the companies automated invoice approval system.
- Attend and assist with company sponsored events.
PURCHASER EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or Equivalent
- Proficiency in Google Suite, including Gmail and Google Sheets
- Some experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus
- 1 Year(s) of inventory management experience
- 2 Years of construction industry experience
