Lab Test Operator Responsibilities:
- Use automated test systems to characterize RF power amplifier modules using a wide variety of electronic and RF test equipment.
- Follow written instructions and diagrams for setting up and launching tests.
- Monitor test results to ensure that they are within expectations for a functional device under test.
- Observe standard lab practices for ESD protection, device handling, and tester operation.
- Maintain testers according to procedures for cleaning and verifying accuracy.
- Track test requests from initiation to completion, keeping the requestor informed of progress.
Qualifications needed for consideration for Lab Test Operator:
- Associates degree in technical field or equivalent military training. Currently enrolled students will be considered.
- 1 years of experience in operating automated test systems for electronic components/products in a lab (preferred) or production environment.
- Proficiency in use of Excel and Windows.
- Excellent organizational skills, plus good verbal and written communication skills.
- The successful candidate will be organized, a self-starter, results-oriented, with the ability to work both as a team member and independently.
- Smt Soldering skills a plus!
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The work environment is an engineering lab supporting a design group with a wide variety of test requests with ample opportunity for learning and growth.
- Dress code is casual with no special attire or gear requirements, though you may be provided with an ESD smock and wrist and/or heel straps.
- You will be working directly with a small team of technicians and engineers.
- Work hours are flexible, generally starting between 12PM and 1PM, then working an 8 hour shift with occasional overtime (voluntary). You may occasionally be asked to move work hours to the evening or to work weekends but that is voluntary and with advanced notice.
- Will be providing a safe work environment that meets all CDC and Oregon requirements for Covid-19.
