Summary:The Homeless Management Information System Data Coordinator (HMIS) is responsible for all HMIS data entry daily and overall management of HMIS system, records, and filing for The Traditional SSVF and SSVF Shallow Subsidy programs’ demographic information of all veterans’ service by these programs. The HMIS/Data Coordinator collects and enters data into database and maintains appropriate copies of records and files to support data entry. The HMIS/Data Coordinator compiles and submits reports to the Program Director and the VA and maintains connectivity to data information systems. Minimum Qualifications:The position requires 60 college credits plus two years’ experience in a related field or a satisfactory combination of education and experience. Two (2) years of administrative experience and 2 years of data entry experience with demonstrated capacity to perform data entry and basic records management job duties. The HMIS/Data Coordinator must have excellent computer skills, including keyboarding, internet; email; Microsoft Office, including Access, Word, Excel, Outlook.Supervisory Role:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Principal Responsibilities:The below enumerated principal responsibilities are inclusive of both program specific and firm-wide related administration, as applicable.1. Perform data entry duties, including being responsible for reviewing all information entered into the HMIS management system, he/she is responsible for uploading veteran demographic information into The Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) , and to ensure that accuracy of the information uploaded into the system per agency contracts.2. Maintain files of completed forms 3. Complete and submit reports of data on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis or as assigned by the deadline.4. Provide basic troubleshooting for database and address computer issues with internal and external support desks.5. Perform other related duties as assigned.Expected Results of Principal Responsibilities:1. Data is entered in a timely and accurate manner. 2. Data and files are maintained and processed in compliance with agency and funder requirements. 3. Reports are submitted in compliance with agency and funder requirements. 4. Access to data system is maintained and issues with data system connectivity or access are addressed in a timely manner. 5. Related duties are performed completely, on time and accurate.Work Environment:While performing the duties of the job, the employee will be in an office environment performing administrative work.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk and hear while communicating with peers, clients and/or vendors. This position is sedentary and requires sitting for long period of times. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items up to 20 pounds.Position Type:This is a full-time position.
