Position Summary
This position manages the customer service, stock inventory, water disposal facility and marine/land operations for the terminal; ensures all safety protocols and operations policies are followed; facilitates daily communications between customers, internal departments and terminal employees.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; technical or business major preferred
5 years supervisory experience - Supervisory experience preferred of large teams
7 years experience working in industrial setting
5 years experience dealing with customers
5 years experience in emergency response - Knowledge of response and incident command systems
Data analytics: Ability to use data to solve issues, find opportunities for improvement and prevent problems
Experience in creating, analyzing and working within budgets
Experience in writing and implementing processes and procedures
Excellent computer skills, including ability to easily use MS Office Suite, Google suite, process flowchart software,; ERP system knowledge preferred
Communication: Able to translate the overall priorities/strategy to all levels of the organization.
General understanding of terminal operations, business and customer value chain.
General understanding of automation processes, Vopak automation blueprint and DCS systems
Stakeholder management: Understand the challenges of other departments and how they interact with yours.
Understanding of what drives Vopak financial results, what are the levers to control this and how to budget appropriately and take action when needed.
Vopak Core systems: general understanding of Vopak systems
Excellent English communications skills, both oral and written
Proven ability to generate excellent informational reports, and effective presentation skills
Ability to multi-task
Demonstrated understanding of environmental, DOT, USCG, safety, health and regulatory requirements; experience working with Federal, state and local environmental regulations including RCRA
Customer service focus including the ability to speak diplomatically; problem solver

Task & Responsibilities:
Manages, coaches, motivates and develops employees to achieve Company objectives; tracks and monitors training needs; responsible for disciplinary process and actions taken; reviews all performance evaluations
Manages large team; interviews, hires, evaluates, and develops direct reports
Ensures all safety protocols and operations policies and procedures are followed; assesses operations training to ensure it meets Company standards and site needs
Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EH & S principles and values; champions safety as necessary
Develops and administers operation budgets, controlling monthly expense results, and formulating action plans to address variances and gaps for Operations
Drives performance based on clear KPI’s and targets in the different domains as SHEQ, Sustainability, Operations, Service delivery, Asset Management and other.
Coordinates the efficient utilization of all asset team resources to ensure that business objectives are met (i.e., operating supplies, maintenance, labor, gap closure savings, etc.)
Responsible for Customer Service and logistics for scheduling, expediting and planning land and marine movements
Investigates incidents; prepares incident reports; implements approved corrective action/s
Tracks and reports statistical information for all operations at the site through continuous improvement of systems (tools, processes, and procedures), quality outcomes, the adoption of best practices and lessons learned
Handles customer complaints regarding location operations ensuring satisfactory resolution for all parties
Works with customers on new products, procedures, planning and implementations
Works with Managing Director to determine present and future facility needs for programs, personnel, and equipment
Manages the Terminal sustainability plans by implementing efficiency and new technologies into operations to reduce carbon footprint in line with global goals
Working knowledge and aptitude for developing team, to drive decisions using data extracted and analyzed for environmental compliance and operational performance tracking
Insure customer stewardship engagements are effective, efficient and executed to customer standards and followup is completed on outstanding complainants and issues
Revise, update and creates procedures as required at the Terminal
Produces monthly reports for the site; reconciles inventory issues
Approves procurement requests; negotiates pricing as needed
Develops and manages projects to optimize the facility; communicates requirements; monitors activity.
Responsible for the regulatory compliance of the facility; plans for and follows through on regulatory compliance issues including USCG; acts as contact point for governmental agencies
Trains regularly on all Federal, state and local environmental regulations, requirements and guidelines including, but not limited to, RCRA requirements; follows and adheres to all guidelines, regulations, and requirements
Randomly selects and audits work instructions for completeness and accuracy
Monitors general housekeeping of facility
Acts as contact for railroad issues and incidents on the property
Meets with inspection companies regarding operational issues
Is the Asset Owner and works closely together with the technical manager to ensure long term asset integrity
Functions as authority for the facility; escalates situations as necessary
Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position

Salary : $82,800 - $105,000
