Job Description
JOB:-Mainframe Developer – COBOL
Location: Berkeley Heights , NJ (Needs to work from office)
Interview: Video
Duration: 12 Months
Job description:
- Development background in design, analysis and coding: COBOL (CICS), JCL, CICS, CA7 etc.
- Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
- Prioritize Business Impact and Urgency
- Perform application support tasks like: Systems support, Security reviews, & Maintenance tasks
- Provide SLDC artifacts associated with application components
- Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development
- Develop and execute unit test cases to validate that application changes meet technical specifications
- Adhere to security and control, and change control processes
- Support QA with integration testing bug fixes
- Participate in production support/pager duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage
SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINFRAME DEVELOPER:
- COBOL (CICS), CA7, DB2 and/ or SQL, Other Mainframe Technologies & Tools
- TSO and VSAM experience required
- Familiarity with Job Scheduler preferred (e.g. CA7)
- Knowledge on File Transmission - SFTP, NDM
