As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Finance Manager to assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes, project accounting, cash management and provide guidance for strategic financial decisions and deliverables under GAAP, DMCA, and DCAA. Successful candidates will also be able to meet strict deadlines and possess strong organizational skills. If you have an analytic mind and enjoy translating complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels. The ideal candidate must be industry savvy, a self-starter, and detail oriented.
Responsibilities
- Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
- Gather, evaluate, and present financial data to executive teams
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
- Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions where needed
- Work directly with preparing contract EACs and understanding contract requirements
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Analyze inventory costing and along with related projected costs
- Mentor and support finance team and department/program managers
- Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Support weekly cash flow analysis and forecasting process related to bank balances, accounts receivable, cash collections and disbursements
- Prepare timely and accurate contract profit reports, and financial analysis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Develop, and manage departmental and company budgets
- Prepare and conduct monthly budget reviews
- Provide analysis and recommendations of financial information
- Assist in the development and analysis bids for RFP responses
- Manage and provide ongoing training for managers on financial issues impacting program budgets and implement improvements on a continuous basis
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and variance analysis to provide an understanding of the financial state of business
- Develop and maintain reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience as an Accountant or Financial Manager
- Expert on GAAP standards and guidelines
- 5-7 years experience with budget development and operational reporting
- Some experience with an integrated ERP Accounting System including NetSuite
- MBA or CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a business or financial setting
- Experience coordinating audit activities and reporting, budget development and analysis,
- Experience with principles and practices of project management
Skills

- Strong writing and communication skills
