Voyant Beauty – Ridgefield is seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer that will drive a lean thinking mentality throughout the facility via project achievements, training, and communicating success. As CI Engineer you will also be tasked to prioritize lean efforts with plant operations team to focus on those that deliver most value to the production line. Continuous Improvement projects will include, but are not limited to, changeover reduction, cycle time improvement, capability studies, throughput optimization, cost reduction, variation reduction, and waste reduction. You will also be highly accountable for delivering productivity results that have a positive impact on the bottom line. Responsibilities:Responsible for planning and assisting in the execution of various Continuous Improvement projects targeted towards improving the business’s performance on safety, quality, productivity, and cost Facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and ever-changing environment leveraging your strong interpersonal, professional, and collaborative skills Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to project teams on the use and practice of Lean methodologies and tools Develop metrics to measure facility continuous improvement initiatives Facilitate Kaizen events and train future Lean SMEs / facilitators Ability to work within the facility at all levels utilizing a very hands-on approach to create value and buy-in as the lead change facilitator for the operation’s continuous improvement efforts Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering At least 3 years’ experience in a CI or OpEx role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to present to groups of all levels within a manufacturing facility Familiar with batching processes, packaging processes, downtime, throughput, and line speed Must be able to work on multiple projects at once and switch priorities with little advance notice Experience in AutoCAD and familiar with P&IDs & PFD's Packaging process knowledge preferred Certifications in Lean and Six Sigma a plus Experience with creams, lotions, and liquid filling processes a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements listed in this section include, but are not limited, to the motor/physical abilities and skills required to successfully undertake the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
