Our fast-growing life safety system company has a full-time career opportunity for a Low Voltage Sales and Estimating Representative for our office in Largo, FL which will service the greater Tampa area.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for marketing, sales for fire alarms, special hazards, and other Low Voltage system projects as assigned within division. Responsibility may be further defined by territory or by scope of projects to meet division goals. Responsible to create, maintain and develop client base to meet department/division goals. Has primary responsibility to generate new business and quote on contract opportunities.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrated sales experience with strong prospecting skills
- Proven history of successful sales and contract negotiation
- Ability to make potential client contacts, meet external representatives at all levels of the client organization and represent the Company in a professional manner with good interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong estimating skills with knowledge of installation materials, labor requirements and overall project management requirements.
- Able to prepare estimate from blueprints or site surveys.
- In-depth knowledge and experience related to the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems, especially fire alarm systems, as well as special hazard, video, surveillance and access systems.
- Knowledge of applicable State, local and BOCA Codes, Fire Marshals, NFPA 72 Standard, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and Authorities Having Jurisdiction governing the location of the company's work geography.
- Level IV NICET certification (or completed exam elements) essential.
- Good record keeping skills is essential to complete forms and documentation related to sales proposals and project management.
- Demonstrated PC skills with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience using a customer database management system.
- Must possess valid driver's license for use of reimbursed private vehicle use.
- Must provide criminal background information to meet Department of Criminal Justice authorization card standards.
