JOB SUMMARY:
As a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our operations by ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and sampling of field equipment related to natural gas and crude oil sampling. You will be responsible for maintaining vehicles, conducting sampling activities, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service both on and off-site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform maintenance and repair of Welker systems and sampling cylinders.
· Conduct routine maintenance of field sampling equipment to ensure accurate and reliable operations.
· Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, including acquiring oil changes.
· Assist in coordinating vehicle repair processes as needed.
· Conduct natural gas sampling using cylinders, Tedlar bags, and Welker systems.
· Conduct liquefied natural gas sampling using Welker and pull-type cylinders.
· Perform crude oil sampling directly from shore tanks.
· Conduct tank strapping and gauging manually.
· Collect vapor pressure samples.
· Climb 60-foot tanks safely to conduct sampling operations.
· Witness and document sampling processes.
· Manage inventory of field equipment and supplies, including ordering necessary supplies.
· Process sampling paperwork accurately and efficiently.
· Label collected samples with appropriate commodity tags for identification.
· Maintain facility tidiness and assist in general facility maintenance tasks.
· Transport used laboratory bottles to the landfill as required.
· Complete facility maintenance checklists regularly.
· Provide excellent customer service both on-site and off-site.
· Conduct safety assessments prior to sampling activities.
· Complete customer site orientations and adhere to site-specific safety protocols.
· Capable of passing random drug tests as authorized by DISA.
· Complete and demonstrate proficiency in harness safety training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
· Previous experience in a similar field technician role preferred.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work in outdoor environments and climb heights up to 60 feet.
· Willingness to adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times.
