Vulcan Industries is currently seeking a Director of National Accounts to lead the team effort to service the Ace Hardware Corporation. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The position is based in the Chicagoland area, and you must live or be willing to relocate to that area. The Director will work closely with the Sales Account Manager in a team effort to drive customer satisfaction. The Director will develop and implement the strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans, build, and maintain key relationships across the client and partner’s organization, and ensure that Vulcan Industries always meets or exceeds our client and partner’s expectations. The Director will facilitate the ideation of custom merchandising solutions that solve problems and meet or exceed stated objectives. The Director will actively participate in all aspects of the product development by engaging cross functionally throughout the process. The Director will lead the sales process which includes assembly, installation, and presentation of the custom merchandising solution. The Director will contribute to the production and logistic operation by clearly communicating the instructions and expectations of the client and partner.
Skills
Required Qualifications
- Live in the Chicagoland area or be willing to relocate.
- A minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of success
- Exceptional presentation, consulting, and communication skills
- Ability to network and build relationships with the client and functional team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Overnight Travel 10% to 20%
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in SalesForce.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or another related field preferred, but not required.
- Experience in the display industry is a plus.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Light assembly and installation of metal and wood fixtures
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
- Ability to learn software applications and processes quickly.
- Sitting, driving, and reaching.
Working Conditions
- Inside usual office environment / remotely from home office.
- Variable workdays/hours, 40 per week.
- Overnight Travel required.
