QC Inventory Technician

That’s why our Avantor Lab and Production Services team is a trusted partner in supporting the innovation and growth objectives of labs across the globe.   In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Location: Rensselaer, NY Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7 am – 3:30 pm Sign-On Bonus: $1000 pays out after 30 days employment What we’re looking for  Education: High school diploma or GED is needed  Experience: 2 years’ customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience is needed Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office suite Qualifications:  Basic digital literacy including Microsoft Office needed. Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances needed. Effective communication needed. Excellent Customer Service Skills: display a professional can-do demeanor needed. Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality needed. Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and has the confidence to act independently needed. Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks needed. Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know experience is desired. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly desired. In this role you will: Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment. Manages customer’s point of use or stockroom inventory. Responsible for logistical activities such as shipping and receiving of materials through coordination with 3rd party couriers. May handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materials. Basic order entry and follow-up on existing backorders. Maintains and checks safety stations. Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures Cleanroom garment management.
