Job Description
Allied Reference Laboratory (ARL) is a newly established clinical diagnostic and toxicological reference laboratory, with 21,000 square feet which is in proximity with those renowned local medical facilities and healthcare providers in southern California. Licensed by federal and state agencies and equipped with the newest instruments and advanced user interfaces, ARL is aimed to conduct clinical and toxicological testing with high complexity by the state certified clinical lab scientists under the leadership of clinical lab director with decades of experiences. This is a start up laboratory.
Job Duties:
- We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team.
- Under Limited Supervision, the incumbent(s) will use their training in medical technology to perform clinical laboratory testing and/or other scientific examinations.
- Required to work independent of immediate supervision and assume the initiative for the prompt and accurate performance of tests with appropriate documentation and proper notification of abnormal results.
- This role envelopes all steps from specimen processing to data analysis; performing quality control and assurance procedures, while complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.
- The work requires excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask as well as work independently within a team environment.
- The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) is responsible for the direct and constant supervision of clinical laboratory technicians at all times during the analytical phase
- The CLS is responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing, as directed by the current standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results
- Maintain strict standards of quality
- Identify any issues that may adversely affect the quality of test results and reporting these to appropriate representatives to ensure prompt resolution
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities
- Other duties as assigned
Experience Requirements:
- Must have generalist experience
- Full-Time Schedule
- At least 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Scientist - CLS experience
- Current CLS License in the state of CA
- Equipment: Proficient in the use of computerized systems and automated instrumentation.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical duties of the job as noted on the job description.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory studies or equivalent science related studies
- Advanced laboratory skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour
