This position is located in Columbia, Maryland, and reports to the Senior Vice President of EHSSQ. This position will involve responsibility for development of security managements systems and implementation processes for all Grace global assets, including corporate HQ, offices, plant sites, R&D facilities, warehouses, etc.
- In cooperation with the executive team, Global Operations and all functions, directs the development of an effective strategy to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organization.
- Sets strategy and implementation direction for domestic and international locations / employees in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes, practices and policies throughout the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, financial, physical and reputation risk.
- Drive consistency around security processes and clarity around implementation.
- Prioritize and scale implementation based upon facility security risk profile that also includes ensuring strong regulatory compliance.
- Researches and deploys security solutions to safeguard the organization's global employees and assets.
- Develops relationships with law enforcement, security agencies and private sector counterparts worldwide.
- Coordinates and implements site security, operations and activities to ensure the protection of employees.
- 15 years of extensive security agency or law enforcement experience.
- Direct experience in a leadership role.
- Advanced security degree or equivalent security experience.
- Extensive demonstrated experience and exposure to global Security.
- Understanding and proficiency in effectively working with government regulators and organizations
- Leadership skills to provide direction to management.
- Ability to collaborate and develop alignment
- Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization including briefing executive management and board committees on the status of security issues.
- Emotional intelligence to understand the impact and severity of security issues.
