Director of Finance & Accounting – Miami Beach, FL
Duties
Manage accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability. Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan which is aligned with the company’s and brand’s strategic direction. Meets the financial needs of key stakeholders (owners, corporate, guests, etc.). Provide the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. Oversees internal, external and regulatory financial audit processes.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Public Accounting, Finance or related field and 2 years of experience in any job title involving accounting within the hospitality industry.The job also requires two years of experience with the following:
- PMS/POS (Opera/Lightspeed/Micros)
- Accounting System (Peoplesoft, Oracle, Hyperion, Concur).
- Payroll System (Time & Attendance programs).
- Purchasing Systems, i.e. Adaco/Hotshop.
- Fixed Assets Software i.e. Transcendent.
- Experienced Leading a Finance Team in the hospitality industry.
- Labor Management/Labor Controls.
- Experience analyzing budgets for Condo Hotel/Shared Facilities.
- Experience in contracts reviews.
- Budgeting and Forecasting.
- Experienced in analyzing financial impact of Hotel Openings Re-openings.
- Experience Insurance Claims in hospitality industry.
- Capex Management/ Cash Flow.
