- Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software)
- Basic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of the conveyor system and building components, including PLCs, DC drivers, AC invertors, linear motors, VFDs, encoders, scanners, power distribution, communication systems, computer-controlled building systems, conveyor systems and maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Be a subject matter expert for conveyors, cross belt system, Dematic Multi Shuttle System/Goods to Person System
- Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center
- Work at heights and in unusual positions
- Must be available for 24-hour on-call rotation
- Knowledge and application of safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO) standards and Arc Flash
- Follow codes, such as the NEC, BOCA and UBC, MSDS and OSHA
- Design, implement, and document PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley) programming changes to automated equipment when authorized
- Troubleshoot, and implement changes to I/O device networks such as Probus, Data Highway, and CanBus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems
- 2 years of experience with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults)
- Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS programs
- Experience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, and gauges
- Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEO) drawings and schematics
- Can frequently lift, push, and slide packages typically weighing 50-75lbs.
- Successful completion of Maintenance skill evaluation
