Performs audit, assurance and financial reporting responsibilities for audit, review and compilation engagements.
Job Duties
Audit and Assurance
Runs audit, review, examination, agreed-upon procedures and/or compilation engagements from start to finish.
Supervises, trains and mentors staff on all aspects of engagements to help grow the firm's capabilities and expertise.
Possesses or is able to gain subject matter expertise in a variety of industries, such as benefit plans, governments, nonprofits, construction contractors, low-income housing and agriculture.
Understands and follows required accounting and audit standards ensuring all firm engagements are conforming.
Able to interpret and implement new pronouncements with supportable conclusions.
Ensures efficient and profitable management of engagements.
Client/public interaction
Effectively communicates with clients in a manner that creates positive and effective relationships.
Communicates complex matters to clients verbally and in writing.
Provides recommendations to clients for business and process improvements.
Positively represents the firm to the public.
Office interaction
Provides information to partners, supervisors and coworkers; interacts as needed (e.g., problem solving or reporting work)
Provides assistance/training to newer staff
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills
Degree in accounting, business or a related field.
Minimum of four years of experience in public accounting auditing environment.
Competent with audit/accounting software and adapts to novel situations (e.g., software of clients).
Time management skills for managing workload priorities.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong attention to detail.
CPA is not a must requirement, but willing to get a CPA in the future.

$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Job type
Full-time.
Monday to Friday, seasonally on Saturdays.
