Responsible for administration of all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other insurance programs. Assists employees and/or their participating family members with questions and resolution of claims for benefits under insurance programs. Handles open enrollment process including direct interaction with insurance broker and/or carriers and employee meetings.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality as this position is responsible for and comes into contact with personal, confidential and protected information on a daily basis.

- Pulls together information and data necessary for preparation of annual 5500 filing, annual SPD's (summary plan descriptions) and wrap documents.
- Central point of contact for Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Assists managers, supervisors and employees by providing information for utilization of EAP provisions.
- Produces and distributions annual Medicare Part D notice.
- Acts as central point of contact for 401K Program. Provides information on 401K program to employees and responds to requests for information from both employees and plan administrator (annual non-discrimination testing and other data gathering/reporting).
- Responsible for coordination of various recognition programs and employee activities (may include holiday parties, corporate runs, and participation in other team based/community activities).
- Responsible for record/file management, including but not limited to:
- Open Enrollment Process
- Benefits Programs (EAP, Medical, Dental, etc.)
- Forms necessary for filing claims
- Files documents in respective files; purges files as directed
- Responsible for maintenance of files related to 401K, and other benefit Programs
- Responsible for assisting employees with claims for Short-term Disability and coordination of claims filing and benefits under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).Seeks direction and assistance from Human Resources Manager as needed in order to assure compliance with regulations and insurance carriers processes.
- Assists employees who have lost medical insurance ID cards. Coordinates activities directly with insurance broker and/or insurance carrier in order that employee may have access to confirmation of coverage as soon as possible.
- Recruiter/HR Coordinator during peak work periods and absences for PTO, training, and visits to other locations.
- Responsible for filing documents in personnel files and other filing related to the business of the Human Resources Department.
- Assists with transactions in various data systems related to changes in benefit elections for payroll, data bases and other systems/tracking programs as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
- 3 years' of experience working in Human Resources
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
