Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks a Program Manager to lead implementation of strategic products across the Industrial Hygiene organization. Under minimal supervision of the IH manager, the successful candidate would plan, make and conduct work requiring independent evaluation to resolve important questions and coordinate cost-effective technical/programmatic solutions.
Program Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage hierarchical regulatory/contract requirements relationships/visuals for the department;
- Contributes to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards;
- Develop department performance monitoring/trending tools and serve as the backup presenter to the manager in iCAS Collective Significance Review (CSR) reporting for the department;
- Provide strategic leadership/support in award fee reporting for the manager;
- Prepare and maintain a 5-year department business plan;
- Manage periodic input to the department's risk register, including facilitation of technical characterizations/handling actions from technical staff;
- Integrate department alignment of the business plan end states, risk register characterizations/handling actions, and schedule planning/implementation within out-year funding profiles for the department;
- Lead special projects under the manager's direction;
- Lead management-directed assessments to audit performance to determine effectiveness; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Grade 18
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in science/engineering, Safety and Health or related field and;
Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 19
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in science/engineering, Safety and Health or related field and;
Nine (9) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Grade 20
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in science/engineering, Safety and Health or related field;
Ten (10) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.
Desired Qualifications
Prior Hanford experience as a contactor and/or DOE working with Health and Safety implementation at an industrial site.
Prior DOE complex experience.
Demonstrated expert-level knowledge in development of computer software visuals (e.g., pivot tables, graphics, metrics) from data sources; above-and-beyond expert-level Microsoft Office proficiency.
Demonstrated experience/interface in presentation material development with senior management and the DOE customer.
Prior experience in P6 and/or Microsoft Project schedule management.
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience is desired, including prior CAM experience.

Hiring Range Minimum: $104,175
Hiring Range Maximum: $131,425
Grade 19:
Hiring Range Minimum: $114,475
Hiring Range Maximum: $144,325
Grade 20:
Hiring Range Minimum: $126,025
Hiring Range Maximum: $158,875

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
