Our quick-service restaurants require an efficient and flexible General Manager who can handle the high volume of traffic. It is your responsibility to ensure that the restaurant is profitable and operates as efficiently as possible. You will build, coach, manage and develop teams from a hiring, interviewing, and training standpoint as the General Manager. Additionally, you are responsible for making sure the restaurant complies with all local, state, and federal regulations. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be an excellent team leader and customer service professional. Managing at the executive level also requires exemplifying integrity and accountability.
General Manager Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent hospitality and customer service
- Develop and execute a business plan for the restaurant
- Performing P&L analysis
- Creating a positive work environment for team members
- Design menus to meet customer needs and to maximize profitability
- Manage staffing levels to meet customer demand
- Ensure that health, safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements are met
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including scheduling staff shifts
- Review sales reports to monitor performance and Inventory
- Monitor cash levels to ensure the restaurant remains financially stable
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are available at competitive prices
- Ensure that all food is prepared responsibly in accordance with health regulations
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness throughout the restaurant
General Manager Requirements & Skills
- Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery, or other service industries with responsibility for financial results
- Previous management experience in high volume retail with responsibility for P&L
- An ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to build high-performing teams with a positive attitude
