What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meeting Coordinator position at Waffle House, Inc.?
As the Meeting Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external meetings and Support Team activities. In this role, you will complete an array of key administrative tasks to include: managing a robust meeting calendar, composing meeting agendas and presentations, facilitating travel arrangements, accommodations and catering services for events, planning Corporate engagement activities, and other duties as assigned.
The Meeting Coordinator is a Support Team role based out of our Corporate Office in Norcross, GA in the metro Atlanta area. Our Corporate Office Support Team consists of 300 Associates who are committed to supporting our Operations Team as they proudly serve and create memorable experiences for our Customers. What you'll do:
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other visual / written meeting materials as needed
- Prepare meeting agendas, travel plans, and general meeting communications to all stakeholders
- Participate in the office engagement committee to supply feedback and logistical support for events
- Collect and summarize meeting survey results
- Assist with the management of the meeting calendar
- Manage the full life cycle of assigned events or meetings from initial planning tasks to post-event tasks
- Manage an inventory of supplies and branded merchandise
- Receptionist and Mailroom Clerk duties as assigned
- Provide support during events, overseeing setup, registration, guest services, and technical support
- Coordinate the scheduling and venue selection

- Someone with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Someone with strong organizational and planning skills
- Someone with the ability to multi-task and perform well under an array of deadlines
- Someone who is detail-oriented and can work independently
- Someone who is proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, preferably)
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Proven experience in a similar position
