Position: Skilled Laborer

Travel: various sites in Mid Atlantic primarily MD, DC DE

We are currently looking for Skilled Laborers to join our Geotechnical group at our Maryland projects. The ideal candidate will have some experience in construction, preferably in auger cast, ground stabilization, concrete and/or deep foundation work. Driver's license and reliable transportation are very helpful, must be able to work outdoors year round.

Core competencies include: design-build, infrastructure, marine construction, modified concrete, grooving and grinding, and geotechnical construction services.

Essential Functions:

• Carry, load, unload and stack materials.
• Lay out material and move tools and equipment i.e. hoses, pumps.
• Dig with pick and shovel
• Shovel, rake, spread and vibrate concrete into place.
• Experience in Auger cast, heavy concrete work, pile driving, shotcrete and concrete work preferred; Experience in micro piles helpful
• Climb embankments and ladders to carry material to various work sites on project as needed.
• Jackhammer and saw cut concrete.
• Welding certifications d1.1 and 1.5 helpful
• Clean up project site of debris.

Physical Requirements of Essential Functions:

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift.
• Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift.
• Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl.
• Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather.
• Position requires acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing.
• It also requires the ability to reach, lift and perform work above shoulder height—and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
