Position Summary
The Shipping Associate facilitates the movement of cargo to and from different points. The Shipping Clerk takes care of a variety of activities such as order verification and processing, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, storage, inventory management and record keeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Load and unload trucks
· Wrap and strap skids according to specifications
· Pick orders and skid them
· Label & Tag skids to be loaded
· Pull product for small parcel orders and process through UPS or FedEx manifest systems
· Run small parcels through ERP computer program
· Weigh and measure packages and skids
· Keep area clean and tidy
· Cut skids with saw as needed
· Count product on skid to be wrapped to make sure correct quantity matches pick slip
· Make different size wooden crate
· Provide good customer service to those customers picking up directly from our shipping dept.
· Weigh skid stand small parcels on scales
· Take photos of each skid and send to shipping department
· Allow approved service providers to enter the building

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PPE Requirements
In some instances, this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary. If ear protection is required, it must meet OSHA’s Hearing Protection Requirements. The employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes or boots, safety glasses that meet OSHA and ANSI Standards for maximum eye protections, and gloves that meet OSHA Standards for hand protections.
