Organizational Relationship:
Job Purpose: Responsible for ensuring the highest degree of confidentiality and accuracy standards in all reporting functions, maintain the integrity of student records, coordinate and manage all functions of the Office of the Registrar, and oversee the Registrar’s office staff. Manage the daily operations of the Registrar’s office in an efficient, timely, and courteous manner.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and manage all functions of the Office of the Registrar for a student body of 2,000
- Serve as first-level of student contact for academic problems and issues.
- Support the administration of the payroll system for adjunct faculty, track/monitor faculty workload assignments for full-time and adjunct staff.
- Work closely with administrative offices to redesign and revamp policies/procedures as warranted for optimum system usage and advance automation of all recording/reporting.
- Compile student evaluations on all faculty members each semester
- Prepare/maintain office budget
- Consistently revise project management calendar to meet demands of increased students, overlapping, and additional requests for data from external/internal sources.
- Promote a teamwork atmosphere by all staff within the Registrar’s Office.
- Serve as contributing member of committees dealing with academic progress and academic policies and contribute as participating member of the Academic Affairs committees
- Work with with requisite staff on reporting for Institutional Research
- Collaborate with IT unit on regular basis and improve access to information and reporting capabilities for Registrar’s Office and the College.
- Maintain course catalogs, degree audit and semester course information in Jenzabar Student Administrative System
Non-Essential Functions:
- Oversee registration and pre-registration processes
- Oversee the processing of transfer credit evaluations for both incoming, current, and study-abroad
- Verify and maintain student information in the CARS Administrative Student System
- Handle inquiries regarding policy and procedures from students and faculty
- Process grade changes, enrollment verifications, and academic transcripts, both official and unofficial
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience working in higher education, preferably in a Registrar’s Office or student records environment
Experience with Oracle as an ERP is preferred but not required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree; Master degree preferred

- Supervisory skills required
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient working with various computer applications, such as MS Word and Excel

- Effective communication skills
- Able to interact productively with various constituencies

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000.
