JOB SUMMARY: Supervises diverse food service areas (sandwich stand, salad bar, grill, hot foods, and tray line) to ensure customer satisfaction. Implements business practices to uphold Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's mission and values. Identifies growth opportunities and oversees services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent and two years of supervisory experience. Associate's degree preferred. Serv Safe certification required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Directs daily operations to ensure employees have the necessary equipment, inventory, and resources to meet goals.
- Assists in maintaining cash controls and payroll functions.
- Addresses potential problems, updating leaders on issue resolution using appropriate resources.
- Supervises day-to-day activities, delegates authority, assigns and prioritizes tasks, and monitors operating standards.
- Provides positive and constructive feedback to employees for motivation and development.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and hospital policies.
- Establishes a safe work environment through safety-related training and equipment maintenance.
- Sets operating standards, implements quality improvements, and communicates them effectively.
- Maintains and develops employee relationships and satisfaction in food service areas for retail and patients.
- Accountable for service quality execution.
