Wake Spine & Pain Specialists is seeking a Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team. ***This position is Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm
Candidates wishing to be considered for the Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist must possess excellent customer service skills, technical capacity to grasp new concepts quickly, demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a team-oriented environment.
JOB DUTIES
The Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist's job duties include, but not limited to:
- Answering multi-line phone
- Manage voice mail and phone forwarding after hours
- Conduct appointment reminders
- Must be able to understand patient accounts and explain billing information to patients
- Manage fax server - in charge of all incoming and outgoing faxes
- Scan of all medical records and documentation into EMR
- Adhere to check-in procedures, including the collection and posting of payments, patient intake, updating patient demographics
- Adhere to check-out procedures, including the scheduling of procedures and follow-ups, generating receipts, patient statements, and ledgers
- Monitor patient wait times and customer satisfaction
- Insurance Verification of Benefits by utilizing online tools and phone
- Handle all medical record requests to include social security, disability, and attorney requests
- Obtain authorizations for procedures for Insurance and Worker's Compensation
- Maintain waiting room cleanliness and appearance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
