About the Role
As Business Development & Partnership Lead for one of our Store Nº8's portfolio companies, you'll own the growth of a new business in the food and grocery space and play a critical role in building extensive high-value B2B partnerships for our new venture while building best practices for the team. You will work hand-in-hand with relevant teams at Walmart to build a win-win relationship with potential partners in the food ecosystem.
What You Will Do:
- Develop strategic commercial partnerships within the food ecosystem to expand our network and enhance customer offerings by collaborating with other Walmart teams
- Build a pipeline for commercial partnerships with clear and ambitious targets
- Develop partnership programs to enable effective and efficient sales processes; create and optimize the playbook for business partnership
- Own monthly and quarterly new account targets and revenue growth objectives for new and existing B2B partners
- Drive discussions and negotiation processes to improve partner relationships, contract terms and conditions, and program offerings
- Manage key accounts day-to-day, facilitate communication between the new venture and commercial partners and troubleshoot problems when they occur
- Ensure risk is reduced by exercising due diligence. Ensure collaboration with appropriate professionals in order to tackle complicated, potential legal and regulatory difficulties
- Partner with relevant Walmart teams to drive growth for existing accounts and collaborate in contract design and execution
- Keep tab on the food ecosystem to gain market intelligence and identify opportunities for the SN8 venture and Walmart
- Gather relevant information and feedback from commercial partners to enable better service and engagement
- Partner with product and tech teams on new product launches
- Develop reporting methodologies and own data analysis
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years business development experience in food services
- Experience with contracting processes and know-hows
- Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling large, industry leading companies
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets
- Experience in negotiating commercial agreements and data driven decision making
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Knowledge of and passion for food and grocery preferred
- Experience and network in various types of players in the food ecosystem
- Experience working closely with tech organizations (I.e., product, engineering, design)
- Track record of efficiently partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
- Superior communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrate outsized focus on customer

The annual salary range for this position is $119,000.00 to $221,000.00.
