What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager AR position at WALGREENS?

Manage the development and implementation of best practices and policies evaluating financial strength, mitigating credit risk, and optimizing cash collection. Responsible for developing effective tactical work plans and objectives to achieve recovery goals and profitability.

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Coordinate collection efforts for receivables to include cash applications of payments received in the bank lockbox and any other lockbox activity as well as any other payment sources.
  • May oversee ACH, Elitek Credit Card payments, and the India team.
  • Manage systems used in the management of cash applications.
  • Communicate and interface with third-party vendors.
  • Communicate with key contacts internally and externally.
  • Advise the field for credit and collection decisions, approvals, and any customer credit limit activity
  • Lead the AR teams with any activity such as NSF, Credit card adjustments, and chargebacks as well as assist in the management of Smart sheet activity
  • Lead and oversee India teams that support AR functions
  • Assist in training AR/Collections team, also work with ARCs and locations as needed for any processes they do that affect AR.
  • Work toward best practices between corporate and ARC teams.
  • Customer maintenance with accounts for all LOBs (setting up new customers)
  • Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
  • Initiate and support continuous process improvement.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, also will ensure
    quality standards.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and developing a plan to keep staff engaged and
    growing with LKQ.
  • Responsible for managing timekeeping with staff as needed to ensure we keep
    minimum overtime.
