What You Will Do
We are seeking a deeply empathetic individual who is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness within our residential facilities.
In this vital role, you will become an integral part of our close-knit team, committed to ensuring that each individual under our care can thrive and achieve their personal goals. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing medication training and supervising medication aides who deliver crucial residential support services.
Your duties will include meticulous monitoring of electronic documentation records and Medication Administration Records (MAR), as well as reviewing physician's orders. Additionally, you'll perform routine and as-needed nursing tasks and assessments, while also developing and maintaining comprehensive nursing care plans.
Furthermore, you'll play a crucial role in addressing medical needs promptly and efficiently, collaborating closely with our Joseph House staff to coordinate essential medical appointments. Working in tandem with the Joseph House administrator, you'll ensure that all documentation required by external entities is accurate and thorough.

Attendance/Reliability: WVCW expects staff to be regularly on time and at their designated place of work as planned. Staff are expected to plan ahead for vacation and anticipated appointments. When staff need unplanned time off they communicate this to all who need to know including clients.
Communication/Collaboration/Teamwork: WVCW expects staff to consistently offer clear and timely communication, collaborate as needed, and work well within the team structure. This includes being assertive with information critical to the team and client care as well as being able to assimilate shared information promptly and accurately.
Taking Initiative/Problem Solving: WVCW expects staff to know their position, team, agency, and client needs well and be able to advocate for needs and propose solutions. Staff must also recognize when input is needed from supervisor/ senior staff and will seek it appropriately.
Quality and Accuracy of Work/Completion of Tasks/Meeting Deadlines: WVCW expects completed work to be of adequate quality and accuracy. Oversight is sought by staff as needed to ensure that standards for quality of care are met.

The Location
The Joseph House is a five-bed residential treatment home in Joseph, Oregon that serves individuals with both physical and severe and persistent mental health issues. This home provides 24/7 care, room and board, medication management, nursing care, skills training, and activity therapy. This will be your primary working location.
