Position Overview
The Communications Intern will support the Director of Marketing with a variety of day-to-day and long-term projects, including campaign creation, event organization, and writing and designing press releases. The intern will be a flexible self-starter who communicates clearly, multitasks and manages time effectively. A successful incumbent will take ownership of deliverables and have pride in the quality of their work.
Responsibilities
- Manage all customer reviews across all online platforms with immediate responses and information communicating to store managers
- Suggest processes to improve the customer experience
- Manage social media engagement by responding to comments and likes including google my business, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Create all blog topics, write all blog posts, write weekly/monthly lifestyle newsletters or articles, weekly segments, and write social media posts
- Create a strategy for continuous outreach including stories that can be built from current efforts, employee stories, legacy stories, women in the industry stories, feature stories etcCoordinate the posting of current articles, photos and event information to the dealer’s websites.
Qualifications
- Valid driver license.
- Completed coursework in undergraduate communications
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and emphasis on quality and creativity
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, and Acrobat Professional
- Must have an understanding of Digital Marketing & Communications
- Strong organizational skills ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with co-workers and senior management in various departments
- Intermediate skills in graphics, video and social media preferred
