Position Summary
The Epic & IS Applications, Trainer III reports directly to the Training Manager, Epic & IS Applications. This position is responsible for fulfilling a senior level training role and for leading the most advanced training sessions, overseeing curriculum development, and providing expert-level support for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Information Services Applications. This role ensures the highest standards of training quality and effectiveness.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Lead the most advanced and specialized training sessions focused on Epic and Information Services Applications.
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of Epic and application training materials and curriculum.
- Provide expert-level support for resolving complex issues within the Epic training environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Training Manager on strategic planning and execution of Epic training programs.
- Mentor and guide Trainer II staff, providing leadership and direction.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of the Epic training program and recommend enhancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Healthcare, Education, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Licensure and Certifications: EPIC certification in more than one relevant module required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare or educational setting. At least 3 years of experience with Epic systems, including lead training, implementation, or support roles. Proven experience in curriculum development, training needs assessment, and advanced instructional design. Experience mentoring and leading other trainers. Strong project management skills and experience in leading large-scale training initiatives.
Work Environment
This position involves leading advanced Epic training sessions, mentoring junior trainers, and providing strategic input to the training program, with work performed in an office or Hybrid environment. Sitting 60% of the time and standing, walking, upright movement 40% of the time.
