The ObGyn Reproductive Medicine Unit is seeking an organized and motivated individual to join the IVF laboratory team. This position is employed by Washington University, however collaborates with our BJH partners in a shared space. Duties include tissue storage management, administrative support of the lab team and is responsible for billing/educating our customers on policies/processes for tissue storage. A successful candidate will have strong clerical accuracy, exceptional organization and time-management skills, a solid understanding of basic computer applications, and should be motivated to join a fast-paced laboratory environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with Lab Director on the management of tissue storage protocols following Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform data entry inventory management system to track specimen processing, creation, storage, retrieval and distribution for various protocols.
- Works with offsite specimen facilities
- Works with billing, patients, and clinicians to manage specimens to ensure consistent and adequate supply for laboratory activities, assisting with general supply orders.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in clinical and/or research setting.
- Experience working with and maintaining, standard laboratory equipment.
- Experience with standard processing techniques and good eye hand coordination.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain complete and organized records. Exceptional time management skills, ability to multitask, trouble-shoot and work independently with appropriate guidance from Management.
- Ability to interact with faculty, trainees and staff in the Siteman Cancer Center and Washington University School of Medicine. Candidate must possess an aptitude for patience, professionalism, tactfulness and empathy for needs of scientific investigators and be able to communicate and represent the Tissue Procurement Core and Siteman Cancer Center in a professional matter.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare setting.

$16.66 - $24.17 / Hourly The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
