Vail Honeywagon, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscience Compost Heavy Equipment Operator to join our GROWING team in Wolcott, Colorado.

Pay
- $28.00- $30.00 per hour – working 40-50 hours/week. Every hour after 40 is paid overtime. Flexible Work week 5 8hr days Tue-Sat or 4 10hr days Wed-Sat

- Direction customers unloading material and loading material
- Piling up and mixing inbound materials, turning compost rows with Loader
- Monitoring pile temps, picking up and litter control of compost pad
- Screening compost rows into finished product using Screen and Loader
- Grinding branches and shrub debris with Excavator and Grinder
- Work in a fast paced, team environment
- Follow safe operating practices
- Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
- The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
