- Title: Operations Specialist
- Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Additional work on other days may be required as needed.
- Wages: $25.00-$28.00/hr DOE

Position Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers about operational issues.
- Actively participate in improving operations and implementing best practices.
- Serves as escalation point for drivers experiencing tablet or other software related issues.
- Serves as point person for operations manager, coordinates projects and other tasks and assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
- Completes and maintains a variety of reports as directed by the department manager.
- Maintains and distributes department related information as needed.
- Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
- Assists with data collection and reporting required for safety program.
- Creates, distributes, and closes-out customer work orders.
- Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.
- Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
- Will provide support, coverage and direction to the dispatcher.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues.
- Delegate dispatch work in managers absence, serves as escalation point for dispatcher.
- Work with dispatcher to resolve routing issues and maximize route efficiency.
- Administer data in EMS for RTR equipment maintenance management
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within the organization’s structure.
- Ability to collaboratively solve problems and resolve concerns.
- Knowledge of phone systems, operating systems, networks, hardware and software.
- Ability to read a map.
- Ability to maintain records including filing systems.
- Must possess math skills and have a demonstrated ability to calculate rates and adjustments.
- Ability to accurately perform data entry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to speak, read, write legibly, follow verbal or written instructions.
- Must be flexible, dependable, responsive and creative.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the waste management industry.
- Ability to effectively communicate via email, telephone and 2 way device.
