Purpose of Job
The purpose of this job is to be part of the management team at a high-volume restaurant/bar in Milwaukee’s Water Street Entertainment District.
As a manager, you will be expected to uphold the company standards; creating a safe, fun and fulfilling environment for both our employees and guests.
This position allows for growth and upward mobility in a dynamic and ever-expanding company.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant/bar operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Manage restaurants good image and suggests ways to improve it
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g., discounts and social media ads)
- Manage the restaurant and bar to meet and exceed standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Manage food costs, labor costs and liquor costs
- Manage weekly inventory, liquor, produce, other orders and inventory as applicable
- Manage the recruitment of all hourly employees, onboarding and training.
Job Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role.
- Proven customer service experience as a manager.
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
- Acute financial management skills.
- Available nights, weekends and holidays.
- Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or Culinary schooling is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $73,600.00 per year
