SUMMARY
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high performing Sales team in the West Florida Market. This position will drive the sales of our HVAC residential and commercial equipment along with our Parts & Supplies product lines within the assigned territory. The Sales Manager is responsible for Sales/margin and Revenue based on a defined plan that is reviewed quarterly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Successfully motivate and mentor Account Managers; review monthly, quarterly and annual sales numbers with the Account Managers to ensure that sales and margin targets are exceeded.
- Create strategies to increase sales growth and profitability through the development of new accounts and the growth of existing customers, including sales targets, margin enhancement and business development.
- Must be able to use data in order to make business decisions to develop sales growth plans, identify business development opportunities and manage the margins with your sales team
- Lead and execute effective sales blitzes as needed in their market.
- Lead the rollout of sales programs, technology, and product launches.
- Hire, train and develop a sales team; constantly recruiting for potential sales talent. Having a virtual bench of talent at the ready that can be brought on as a solution for the improving the talent of the sales team.
- Develop and manage delivery of on-going training and education programs for sales team.
- Continuously coach the sales team on consultative selling techniques in a B2B environment
- Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
- This position will require approximately travel 35%
Requirements:
- AA/AS degree in Business, Marketing or related degree desired. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in sales with 3-5 years of successfully managing a Sales Team
- Strong understanding of sales and experience running and building an effective sales team
Qualifications:
- Must have strong communication skills, a strong worth ethic, high energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for sales
- Previous experience in Sales in a leadership capacity preferably within the HVAC or distribution industry
- Proven ability to develop a forecast and initiate strategies for revenue and growth as well as expense control
- Ability to work flexible hours to participate in evening and weekend events
- Established professional network in the HVAC or similar industry
- Must be a self-starter, articulate and possess excellent presentation, phone and written communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and virtual conferencing
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial work environment while demonstrating ability to track activity on daily basis using business intelligence and sales tools
