Position Criteria:

Performance Criteria:
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with production staff to include the play’s Director, Assistant Director, and Performing Arts Center Manager.
- Participate in regular production meetings with production staff (and when possible, high school mentors and student production team leaders).
- Assist Director and production staff with the selection of a play that will best suit the needs and abilities of likely student performers and production team members.
- Assist the Director with the creation and communication of rehearsal and production schedules including build schedules, work calls, and electrics hang.
- Assist the Director with the creation of an itemized budget for the production process in collaboration with other production staff.
- Assist the Director with maintaining financial accounts including the creation of purchase order requisitions and submission of invoices and receipts as directed by the bookkeeper.
- Determine projected production needs including but not limited to scenic, costuming, props, lighting, and sound, in collaboration with production staff (and when possible, high school mentors and student production team).
- Determine student production team roles and assignments in collaboration with Director.
- Co-train student stage managers and production team in collaboration with production staff and Performing Arts Center Manager. Training should include roles and responsibilities as well as safety and orientation to facility and its equipment, headset etiquette, and control boards.
- Communicate progress with stage managers for their daily rehearsal report.
- Provide direct instruction and supervision to student production team members during work calls, builds, tech and dress rehearsals, and strike.
- Determine scenic design including floor plan, elevations, and build and cut lists in collaboration with Director; coordinate large deliveries of materials with the Performing Arts Center Manager.
- Determine sound needs; design or supervise student design of sound cues.
- Determine lighting requirements; design or supervise student design of light plot and light cues.
- Oversee electrics hang and focus sessions; arrange for specialty equipment rentals as needed in collaboration with Director.
- Create appropriate lighting documentation (channel hook-ups, light plot, magic sheet) and share with the Performing Arts Center Manager for show night support.
- Determine prop needs; design or supervise student design and acquisition or build of props in collaboration with Director.
- Determine costuming needs; design or supervise student design and acquisition or build of costumes in collaboration with Director.
- Collaborate with Director to determine support needed for Front of House.
- Coordinate performance night needs with the Performing Arts Center Manager (including dimmer, sound, and headset checks).
- During a performance run, repair show-specific items or delegate repairs to a capable student mentor. Be available on-call for problem-solving in collaboration with Performing Arts Center Manager.
- Ensure work areas are clean at the end of each call or performance.
- Following the last performance, lead the strike of the show in collaboration with production staff and Performing Arts Center Manager.
- Return any rented or borrowed materials as applicable.
Salary : $31,300 - $39,600
