Swine Production Manager
At Waukon Feed Ranch, agriculture and family are the roots of our business. The Swine Production Manager contributes to our mission by providing leadership and direction to our swine management team in order to produce a quality meat product right in our rural community that feeds the world.
As a Swine Production Manager, a typical day may include the following:
- Oversee and provide direction to the integrator farms
- Create and implement a farm/GDU visit schedule with visits occurring a minimum of bi-weekly.
- Monthly, attend the GDU visit with integrator GDU Supervisor
- Complete the Farm Visit Report after each farm visit evaluating farm cleanliness, safety, records, repairs and maintenance, farm environment, production, health concerns, and personnel notes.
- Ensure weekly tasks are completed on farms to WFR and integrator standards
- Help barn managers look at big picture items such as payroll, labor efficiencies, supply efficiencies, pig flow & planning, production techniques, barn ventilation, and training
- Be a liaison between Swine Management and integrator Sow Farm Supervisor
- Communicate with Swine Business Manager regularly and keep up to date on progress
- Must participate in bi-weekly office meetings with Swine Business Manager, HR
Manager, and Farm Adviser
- Co-lead bi-monthly sow farm management meetings

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
