What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Drafter position at Wawona Frozen Foods?
Job Summary:
A skilled professional who produces technical drawings based on the designs of architects or engineers. They also provide technical guidelines for different aspects of construction and manufacturing, including all schematics and blueprints, building dimensions, materials, and workflow diagrams for multi-step procedures. Monitor systems to ensure proper operation and planning is followed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs work in accordance with all quality systems requirements included in SQF policies and procedures, including Food Safety, Food Defense, HACCP, and GMP’s as well as meets all company corporate requirements related to quality and food safety programs. Employee is responsible and encouraged to report Food Safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
- Maintains a good attendance record to ensure that there is no interruption of scheduled services and assignments.
- Working closely with a PC/ PM, able to understand, interpret sketches and translate to Construction drawings.
- Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow.
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team.
- Coordinating with other professionals to discuss the project requirements necessary to complete technical drawings and negotiate changes.
- Improving the functionality of an existing building or product
- Works safely in accordance with company’s safety program requirements.
- Wears all required personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the maintenance team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- An associate degree in a related field or program, or 2 years of experience as a drafter
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor
- Experience with 3D Autocad
- Experience with 3d modeling & pipe (preferred)
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mathematical skills
- Good communication skills and a self-motivated, team player
- Ability to work under time pressures.
- Ability to read and comprehend s instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, staying organized
