Open ED Screener Positions:
(1) - Full Time - 1st Shift, 40 hours per week*
(1) - Part Time - 1st Shift, 16 hours per week*
This is a screener position in the Emergency Department. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required. The applicant may be cross trained to other areas of the hospital as determined appropriate. This position is under the direction and supervision of the Director of Emergency Services.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of computers, varied office machines, and software required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- EMS experience preferred.
- Prior hospital experience including MA, and EMS experience desired.
- Typing skills - 45WPM.
Responsibility:
- Assign patients to a hospital room, interview incoming patients prior to date of admission. Explain hospital policies regarding deposits, parking, personal items, and visitation.
- Input patient information into the on-line ADT system.
- Greet patients, obtain necessary signature of consent for treatment and insurance forms.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good public communication skills.
- All other duties as assigned
