What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Compliance position at WCF Insurance?
Position
The WCF legal department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as the VP, Compliance. This is a full-time, exempt position based in WCF Insurance's Sandy, UT headquarters. This position is open to both internal and external candidates. The job allows for remote and in-person work.
Responsibilities
- Develop, measure, and execute strategic compliance
- Oversee the analysis of laws and regulations that may affect WCF's policies and
- Oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and practices to ensure all business units comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Work with the compliance team to proactively identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and guide the department with developing appropriate responses to correct any issues.
- Oversee all compliance reporting requirements; ensuring filings are made accurately and
- Lead and develop all employees in the compliance
- Work with senior management and business units to develop and deliver regular training to employees on compliance issues and updates.
- Lead and oversee any audits or examinations from any regulatory agency.
Qualifications
The most qualified applicants will have:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active membership in the Utah State Bar Association, or another state bar association.
- At least ten years of insurance or regulatory experience.
- Exceptional communication, organization, analytical, management, and interpersonal skills.
An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, , and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
