Description and Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: Manager, Project Management is responsible for supporting hiring, onboarding, mentoring and ongoing development of project management staff which includes project managers and project specialists.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS required or equivalent experience with at least 3 (three) years industry experience.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in Project Management or related industry experience in pharmaceutical or medical device companies
  • Knowledge of Drug and/or Device Study Development and/or data monitoring committee processes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills required
  • Knowledge of FDA, ICH and GCP guidelines as they apply to clinical studies and clinical data management
  • Ability to lead a technical team and define complex processes and workflows
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe required. Experience with Monday.com, Doodle, Zoom, DocuSign, ShareFile, and Replicon preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Supervise, manage, and develop project management staff
  • Review and support implementation of the department and organization annual goals
  • Provide oversight to the team, facilitating and leading team meetings and supporting the team to consistently deliver on-time and on-budget
  • Support ongoing reviews of processes to ensure consistency across projects, including identification and implementation of solutions
  • Act as a primary point of contact for issue escalation, management, mitigation and/or resolution for the team
  • Onboarding support of new hires, including development and maintenance of training processes and tools for Project Specialist staff
  • Ensure the systematic use of defined project management technology tools and processes by all staff
  • Lead and/or participate in departmental initiatives
  • Oversee resource allocation for direct reports, including assessment of workloads and assignment of projects
  • Provide occasional back-up support on project work for direct reports
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage employee performance. Provide regular (at least monthly) status reports to upper management.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall responsibility of management including direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of the assigned team and staff. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Expected annual base salary range: $77,600K to $108,500K
