Job Description
Reports to: Director of Program
Hours: Part Time, Non- Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Sunday; some evening & weekends required; local travel required
Position Summary
An job coach at We Care Arts is responsible for direct service of the We Care Arts (WCA) program principally through implementing the WCA Job Training Program. This position will provide service for individuals and small groups in person as well as virtually. Duties will take place virtually, on site at
WCA, and off site at various locations. These duties include creation of scheduling, implementation of curriculum based on program effectiveness, classroom/job placement management, and personal care of clients. The position works closely with, and reports to the Director of Program. This position will also team with key staff, appropriate volunteers and other staff as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Job Coach
- Aide in curriculum creation following We Care Arts format
- Implement job training curriculum working with clients
- Take progress notes on clients following We Care Arts format
- Turn in reports in a timely manner
- Work after business hours and weekends when needed
- Partake in any additional training needed
- Create instructional content videos following We Care Arts format and upload them to a shared site
- Hold instructional Zoom (or other platform) classes following We Care Arts format
- Create progress notes on clients following We Care Arts format and submit them weekly for review
- Follow all updated Covid 19 cleaning and safety guidelines
- Train and work with volunteers to maintain a consistent client experience
- Guide and encourage client’s work and behavior to maintain a community environment
- Travel to various locations in order to provide services on site
- Additional assigned duties
Data Collection and File Maintenance
- Create progress notes on clients following We Care Arts format and submit them weekly for review
- Establish goals for each individual client artist and document regularly as instructed to ensure successful program effectiveness tracking (and billing as appropriate)
- Maintain up to date, accurate and detailed records on each client
- Attend a quarterly meeting with the Director of Program to update personal review of performance
- Ensure all maintained records are submitted in a timely manner
- Attend staff meetings
- Participate in training
- Additional assigned duties
Requirements
This position requires Direct Service Provider certification. Minimum of two years progressive experience and demonstrated skill in employment services. This should include coaching of individuals learning job skills, placement of clients and experience with a variety of students. Strong creative and organizational skills, empathetic abilities and patience. Bachelor’s degree in art, education, social service or related field preferred. Experience working with volunteers is desirable.
