The DriverTrainer will have excellent people skills with theability to champion the company supportedDriverTraining and Safety Programs to ensure regulatory compliance and safety performance standards are achieved and upheld.

Enthusiasm for Learning : Responsible for evaluating the needs and current practices and delivering comprehensive training sessions.
Continuously practice and develop qualities that improve the understanding of learner and organizational needs. Incorporate adult learning principles including effective communication and motivation
Strategic Approach & Execution : Ability to be goal-oriented and handle limitations without compromising on training quality.
Partner with various roles within the organization such as department managers, operations, and human resources
Safety Expertise : Fostersafe driving practices, teach defensive driving techniques and help improve thedriver’s skills.
Conductdriverevaluations to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback todriverson their performance
Engagement : Encourage learners to ask questions, get involved in activities, and be active in their learning rather than passively consuming the material.
Incorporate interactive and participatory elements into the training to keep learners engaged. Be flexible and result-oriented with the ability to communicate with trainees in an effective and non-intimidating manner
Primary Responsibilities :
- Supports ongoingdriverdevelopment through the delivery of DriveCam event coaching, safety refresher programs anddriverevaluation programs
- Delivers and documents all regulated training todriversas required by Federal, State, Local or contractual requirements
- Establishes and maintains effective business relationships by providing support to internal and external stakeholders when required
Requirements :
- Two years of experience driving a class B vehicle with school bus endorsement
- Proven success providing training, direction, guidance, or coaching todrivers
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and contractual requirements
- Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to gain and maintain the trust, respect, and confidence of co-workers and supervisors
- Welcome recommendations, suggestions, and feedback
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel within the assigned Region, with a willingness to travel outside of the assigned region
